Often, an idea about a cool concept or shoot forms in my head. From there, I try to piece together a moodboard and I try to find a model that fits best with the concept. But just as often, it's the other way around: I find a model to work with and I build an idea or concept around the model. Either way, communication is key: before the actual shoot, I discuss the concept with all those involved (including MUA and/or stylists). Input from all parties is highly appreciated, because I strongly believe that then all people are most strongly involved with the shoot, and that will, in turn, lead to the best results.

When people ask me what's the best photograph I have taken so far I always answer: "yet to come". I am a portrait/fashion photographer based in the Netherlands (Rotterdam). Photographing people attracts me the most as then I meet new people, hear new stories and get new ideas for future sessions. I am likely into simple lightning setups and natural light source. Working in digital format means having skills in Photoshop for me. It would be great to meet new people and collaborate on cool projects.
