Ich sah einen Engel
im silbernen Gewand,
er nahm mich einfach
an seine Hand.

Geleitet mich sicher
durch dunkle Nacht,
beschützt meine Träume
mit himmlischer Macht.

Am Tage unsichtbar
schwebt er übers Land,
kleiner Schutzengel
wird er auch genannt.

Hält seine Hände
zum Schutze über mich,
vielleicht beschützt
so ein Engel auch Dich.
