- Shibari Loose Ends -

Last week I had a session with Sophia.
She had messaged me on Instagram describing how she perceives my work and the thoughts it triggers.
Then on Thursday we met for a session in my studio.
In the preliminary conversation she saw older work from my Japanes Faction Projekt and asked if we could do something like that.

She particularly liked the fact that I interpret this theme differently from others.
In my Shibari projects, the project partners are not traditionally tied up and cannot move.

The ropes are put on rather loosely and the models always hold the loose ends in their hands.
So although they are tied up, they can free themselves and move at any time.

We use the ropes more as a way of interpreting inner conflicts.

During the session, music plays the whole time and they move in a kind of dance.

The camera follows this dance.
So they are free in their interpretation and presentation.
