Long after the rather affronted Wind had left them both unceremoniously and without a greeting, the Woman was still pondering over the mix of feelings the last events had left her with. There was guilt, but no remorse. There was recognition, but no disappointment. There was hope, but no fear, when she turned her head to Earth, who seemed lost in thought himself.
“Can I stay by your side?” the Woman asked Earth cautiously. Even though she knew Earth and his forgiving nature, the bond between them had been tested by her to a great extent. When she looked at him, his gaze was like home. They walked in silence for a while. Then, Earth finally asked her.
“Because I belong to you. I come from you. I trust in you. I walk with you.”
