“It will. It always is” the Oracle said calmly.
“Then why would anyone wish to realise love, if it comes with pain?”
“Great things have their cost and love is no exception. If you want to experience such a rare and incredibly precious thing like true love, you will have to pay. The price is excruciating and endless grief, when all things come to an end” the Oracle answered. “It is your risk to take.”
He swayed, barely perceptible, then closed his eyes and stood very still. “Fine” he said to the Oracle, “show me”.
And it made him see.
