Location"Bray, Co. Wicklow, Ireland (2013). Lydia Mikic was one of a dozen freelance models who posed for me during two photography trips to Ireland. A young lady of few words, Lydia spoke with her excellent posing. Here she is seen "en profil", showing the great attraction of drop temple glasses from the 1980's. No arm of the frame hiding the young lady's eye.... The style became extinct in the streets after the arrival of retro frames in 1988 / 1989. It took twenty years before the new wave of black hipster glasses put an end to that rather dull retro era. In recent years, opticians have a somewhat wider variety in frames for their clients. Who knows, soon even drop temple glasses?
