Location: Enschede, The Netherlands (2011). Working with amateur models often yields great, spontaneous portraits and here is a fine example. Esther was often asked by photographers but she turned all their invitations down - until she heard about my project. Esther wears glasses in her daily life and she was highly motivated to do a photo shoot in prescription glasses from my vast collection. She followed my directions perfectly and her radiant smile could easily make an iceberg melt. Being six foot two (186 cm), sparkling Esther is the tallest model who ever posed for me. She enjoyed the new experience but she never posed for any photographer again. It was my lucky day....
