Location: Enschede, The Netherlands (2011). After two years of working mainly with amateur models, I joined Model Mayhem and posted a casting call for shoots in Amersfoort and Enschede. The number of reactions was amazing and I eventually selected seven freelance models. One of them was Douce and she had the looks and a posing style that set her apart from any model I worked with so far. There was electricity in the air. Close, almost sultry posing. Douce and I went through a full century of eyewear fashion, starting with antique glasses. It all culminated in this series called "Venus and Mars". Here beautiful Douce is posing in blended myodisc glasses (called "lentilux" in German), Rx minus fourteen, twice the model's own prescription.
