Die Bearbeitung nennt sich Crossentwicklung und geht auf die 80er zurück - der Stil ist also durchaus gewollt.
Außerdem ist der Hintergrund unscharf aufgrund der Tiefenschärfe. Google doch mal Bokeh ;)
