Seit vielen Jahren bewundere ich die Werke von Helmut Newton, diese Bewunderung teile ich mit meinem tschechischen Freund und Fotografen Martin Kriška. Somit war die Idee mal sowas wie Helmut in Prag selber zu machen. Dieses konnte ich nun realisieren an einer der Originallocations von Helmut Newton. Ich danke hiermit ausdrücklich Martin Kriška der dieses Shooting organisierte und plante und seinen Fotofreunden die tatsächlich die Originalstraße ausfindig machten und die bis 2 Tage vor dem Shooting gar nicht bekannt war. Der Zufall wollte es, dass mein Hotel nur 600m von den Original Plätzen entfernd lag. Erst jetzt fallen mir die ganzen anderen Plätze seiner Bilder auf, an denen ich schon öfter blind vorbeilief. Auch möchte ich mich bei unserem Model TerryZ bedanken, die als Model großartig war, sowie Ihrem Freund der uns als Assistent und "Touristenwarner" zur Verfügung stand. Viele lustige Situationen mit Toursiten bleiben in Erinnerung, aber vor allem die Begegnung mit einem Hausbewohner an der Originallocation. Dieser kam aus seiner Wohnung als unser Model nackt auf seiner Treppe stand. Er schaute, schaute... wir entschuldigten uns schon, dass wir seine Holzbegrenzungen vor seinem Haus verschoben hatten und das wir alles wieder zurückstellen, als er plötzlich ganz trocken meinte: "Yes, that's alright. You know that Helmut Newton made his famous picture in this place?" Da mußten wir dann lachen.. ja das wissen wir und deshalb sind wir hier. Es stellte sich dann heraus, dass er die Teilnehmer des Shootings 1988 persönlich kannte. Aber beim Shooting selber nicht dabei war. Für mich bisher eines der schönsten und emotionalsten Shootings und ein Highlight in meiner Fotohistorie, dass ich sicher nicht vergessen werde. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For many years I admire the works of Helmut Newton, sharing this admiration with my Czech friend and photographer Martin Kriška. Many funny situations with tourists stay in memory, but especially the meeting with a resident of the original location. He came out of his apartment when our model stood naked on his stairs. He looked, looked ... we apologized that we had moved his wooden borders in front of his house and that we put everything back down when he suddenly said dryly: "Yes, that's alright." Helmut Newton made his famous picture in this place? " We had to laugh then ... yes we know that and that's why we're here. It turned out that he personally knew the participants of the 1988 shoot. But the shoot itself was not there. For me so far one of the most beautiful and emotional shootings and a highlight in my photo history, that I will certainly not forget.
